Darren Mendel
Darren is a Director at Rollingsons and heads up our Insurance Litigation Department, which is currently a 12 strong team. He joined the company in September 2000.
Darren has over 20 years experience in all aspects of insurance litigation with particular emphasis on personal injury and credit hire.
In personal injury, Darren has dealt with a plethora of cases on many different issues to include fraud, low velocity impact cases, chronic pain syndrome and stress disorders. Currently Darren has a heavy emphasis on credit hire and has advised many insurers on the latest legal developments in this area as well as defending the leading intervention cases of Copley v Lawn and Maden v Haller to the Court of Appeal. As a result of Darren’s credit hire experience he has liased with insurers on intervention and general defence strategies in credit hire and continues to be at the forefront of the development of new legal arguments in relation to the same.
Outside of work Darren is a committed family man with a passion for sport to include football, golf and cricket.
