ACCIDENTS ABROAD

- There are complicated rules regarding the relevant law to apply where the individual was injured abroad. It may be possible to choose which countries laws should apply. The level of damages varies enormously between different countries. We can advise you which jurisdiction will achieve the best result for you.
- Under the Package Travel Regulations 1992, accidents abroad can often lead to the tour operator being responsible in the UK for compensation for pain and suffering in the event of a ruined holiday through personal injury caused by an accident abroad. In order for the regulations to apply, the injured person must have purchased a package holiday which comprises both the cost of the accommodation and the cost of the flight.
